Pattern number 2/2197. Hand painted over transfer. Garter mark "W.T. Copeland & Sons, Stoke upon Trent." Impressed Copeland F over 81 for 1881.

Early transferware. English Spode Copeland 1850-1867. Orange red on black. I believe the pattern number is 2/1251 F.
Demitasse coffee cup is 2 inches tall. Saucer is only 4 5/8.
Condition: No damage, very little wear to the rims.

8 piece 19th century dessert set. All hand painted historic scenery plates of The British Isles. Lochs and ancient ruins of abbeys, churches, and castles. Most are marked with the name of the place written on the back. Boarders in jade green with gold trim.
Copeland mark pre-dates Copeland Spode. Marked pattern number D1859, impressed FF. Registration date 1852 but we believe this is the molds and the decorating was done after 1857, likely 1859.
Includes:
1 High compote 9 1/8 across 5 1/4 high
1 Low compote 9 1/8 across 3 5/8 high
6 Dessert plates 8 7/8 inches
Condition: Excellent, no chips or cracks. Minimal surface scratches.
Very usable but we suggest paper dollies to protect the surfaces.

Pattern #D1857 from 1847-1855. Japanese blue floral transfer over painted by hand then finished with bluish glaze. Just beautiful English earthenware.
7 1/2 inches high to the tip of the spout. Capacity 1.5 quarts.
Condition: The lid has been repaired and reglazed so do not soak it. The pot has no damage. The line inside bottom is not a fracture.
