Cut Glass antiq/vintage
Includes 5 bottles for oil & vinegar and salt & pepper and a mustard pot. And a silverplate holder.
Bohemian ruby stain cut to clear glass. Circa 1900 hand blown art glass. You can see one bottle has crack lines inside the the top from stretching the opening. We do not consider this damage.
Note the slender necks of the bottles in contrast to replacement bottles. The bottles are hand crafted and you will see variances. That's just how antique art glass is.
The salt & pepper shakers and mustard pot have antique 2 part tops chrome plated.
The Baroque style silver castor is marked "Wm A Rogers IS20 SP lead. Active in NY and Ontario 1890-1929. The top is silverplate, the bottom foot is silverplate on lead and is quite heavy. It turns easily.
Condition: Wear to the chrome lids and the stoppers are chipped on the bottoms.
The silverplate holder is very excellent with no damage and no silver loss noted.
Set of 12 salad or dessert plates. About 8 1/4 inches.
Deep cut leaves and starburst on reverse of each plate. I don't know if they are full lead crystal but they are high quality. No maker's marrk.
Condition: No scratches but they do have minor scuffs. Of course, no chips or cracks.
Set of 8 saucer champagne or high sherbet glasses.
- 7 ounce capacity.
- 5 inches tall, 3 3/4 inches wide.
- Ruby cased (or overlayed, not stained) cut to clear.
- Pattern like unto Christmas ornaments of 1930-1950s.
- Blown bowl.
- Six sided cut stem.
- Likely hand crafted at an art glass studio as the stems are cut in an irregular hexagon shape and a couple glasses have a tiny bubble in the crystal. One has a slight ripple on the rim.
- Beautiful ring of the finest lead crystal.
Condition: No damage at all but the bottoms have quite a bit of table wear indicating age. Please see the picture of the foot.
American Brilliant Cut Glass, Crystal Sugar & Creamer
Big beautiful strawberry pattern. Antique lead crystal from the Brilliant-Cut era, 1880-1915. Featuring a big strawberry on the front and back of each piece with deep miter cuts to the sides. Big double hobstars cover the bottom, saw tooth tops, finished with punty cuts along the handles.
This is a full size cream and sugar set. The cream is 3" to the spout and holds about 12 ounces. The sugar is 2 7/8" high, 7" across the handle and holds about 16 ounces. Together they weigh over 2 1/2 pounds.
Condition: The only chips I found are on the vertical miter cuts, one on the sugar and two on the creamer. They are very hard to see, please see the pictures. Also there is a separation in the glass where the creamer handle was applied, this would have been in the making.
Ruby Cut to Clear Glass Castor Shaker Bottle
Bohemian ruby stain cut to clear crystal to complete your cruet set. Nice deep rose and punty cuts are a sign of quality.
Shaker bottles are 7 1/4 inch tall (not counting the top finial) salt or pepper shaker.
These are old, not the recent productions. Note the slender neck, the new ones are more straight.
Condition: No damage, the silver finish is a bit worn as shown.(2 available, sold separately. We also have a mustard jar listed that matches these.)
Adorable salt and pepper in clear glass. Press pattern with polished bottom so clear it looks like melting ice. Still has the spoon and sticker. "Bohemia Glass made in Czechoslovakia" which dates it before 1990 but I believe I purchased it much longer ago.
Only 2 3/4 inches high. 2 1/4 across the bases of each.
Condition: No damage at all.
