Beautiful deep red transferware of an Oriental garden scene. The color is cranberry or burgundy.  Quality English earthenware marked "Enchanted Garden made in England by Johnson Bros, A genuine hand engraving, Pat. Pend" These date to the late 1950s.

A hard to find piece, especialliy in the red.   About 9 1/4 inches across, not counting the loop handle of course.  4 1/2 inches high.  I believe these muct have been for store display but could be used as a batter bowl.  Marked "English Chippendale, Johnson Bros England.  All decoration under the glaze.  Detergnt & acid resisting color. Design Patent 103,232."

Condition:  Excellent.  No chips or crazing.  Mild scratches inside.
